I like the plain style option of MeFi. Took a couple of days to get used to, but now I find "the blue" ugly in the original blue.

I thought the old MeFiNo white/green was great looking. The only irritating thing about it was the active and visited link colors seemed reversed to me.

The font on this is all wrong and makes reading a trial. I'm not sure if it's different from metafilter in general or if I've got something different set in the user preferences over there but ug, I don't like.

I'm using someone else's computer right now though, so that may be contributing.

The font hasn't changed any but I'm getting used to it now. I didn't really expect that.

As long as it's user-configurable and "foliage" remains an option, I don't care what the default is.

The one thing I don't like about the new theme is that there's no indication of which comments are "new" since my last login. That helped me scan the pages quickly for new material.

The front page has "17 comments 5 new comments" still, and the comment tracker is functional.

Maybe what bsp was talking about is the little red "new" that appears in new comments when you view them in a thread. That was definitely helpful for me, too.

What's going on with the theme? I just found myself looking at that blue/MeFi theme when I refreshed. And now in my account settings I don't have access to the "old white/green foliage theme," which I prefer. I'm having to make do with something called marvin. Can I have the foliage theme back?
