Is 302 finished, or not?

303 is ready to go to vote. There are still stragglers who have not voted on 302.

May I open voting on 303, or must I wait?

1, it's your call.

#

AAA, this is NOT a rule proposal; can you fix that, please?

#

I posted it under "judgement invocation", it ended up here.

#

Has anyone tried to contact Chuck, cortex, and Taksi Putra yet?

#

Sorry, I've been very busy the past few days. I've voted now.

#

Where this showed up was my fault, not AAA's - I hadn't retitled that sidebar block to "Proposals, Voting & Judgments," the content types that affect game turns.

#

I think you should wait. I think if voting on a new proposal opens then the stragglers may be less likely to notice that they still need to vote, and if you're still missing some votes then we wouldn't want the next person to go and have three polls open, etc.

Have the non-voters been contacted via metafilter-email-system yet?

Some sort of notification listserv thing may be in order. Also: floggings!

#

That's the ruling, then. All eligible players must vote before 303 can be proposed.

#

Did he realize he was judging?

#

Yes.

Meatbomb, I am totally sympathetic to your wanting to get on with your turn and assure you that my policy of being spiteful to you for this turn did not affect my judgin', but I think setting a precedent of essentially running two turns at once just isn't good policy.

Hopefully this won't be so annoying once we get some time limits in place, but, that's not happening with this current voting system.

Have the stragglers been contacted?

#

OK then, no harm no foul 1. I am standing by to put my 303 thingy to vote once 302 is completely signed sealed and delivered.

#

How did we move on past 301? Wouldn't it just be a matter of closing the polls on 302?

#

We (ok, I) removed all the remaining players from the player list, then closed the vote on 301. That was supposed to be a one-time extreme measure, not a routine practice.

#

AFAI remember, ctmf, you were following the explicit ruling of the judge - nothing extreme about it.

#

We're just waiting for cortex. Someone should retrieve him and make him vote?

#

I have sent him a nagging email.

#

OK, Cortex can't access the site from work and will vote in approximately six hours from now. He feels our pain.

#

Let's take his vote by proxy and move on.

#

Taksi Putra hasn't voted.

#

If that's the case, then we have a voter who isn't on the player list; that's 29 people, 28 votes already counted.

Who's ballot-stuffing?

#

Or not. Apparently I can't count.

#

I'm kind of inclined to really try to include Taksi Putra since this whole thing was their idea in the first place.

#

Or not. Apparently I can't count.

Eponysterical.

Email. By god we need email notification for voting. Everyone gets an email when its voty voty time. That way at least we know everyone knows they need to vote. This would help. We could even potentially in the future have some kind of agreed timeout after which their vote is automatically an abstention.

I may have mentioned this before.

motty: so, you would support a proposal to make Rule 105 mutable, and then change it to include a voting time limit? The reason I ask is because that was the purpose of Proposal 301, which you shot down.

#

I'm not trying to be snarky, there, just wondering if it was because of the confusion about what we were voting on, or if you had another path to get there, or what.

By god we need email notification for voting.

Drupal 6's Subscription module isn't ready, unfortunately.
