Introduction
The Players Market is a fairly new addition to the BlogShares experience. Here, players can set pricing and amounts for buying and selling Ideas.
This system is a blind bidding type trading where the seller of an idea places a price on his ideas that nobody knows(as opposed to the Bond Market where everyone can see how much the seller is asking.
Usefulness
The player's market can be used to make profit on ideas or simply to transfer ideas from player to player more securely than bonding them.
Selling In The Player's Market
To place ideas for sale using the player's market you should go to the industry page of the ideas you wish to sell and click Offer in the Player Market cell of the Idea Commodities Table. You will then be presented with the form where you input the number of ideas you wish to sell followed by the minimum price you are willing to accept per idea. After a confirmation box you will have posted the ideas onto the player's market. These ideas will no longer show in your holdings, having been placed into the game escrow system - holding place for the sale.
If someone has a bid for ideas in the player's market at or above the price you requested when placing the offer you will sell those ideas to them at the price the bidder bids.
Buying In The Player's Market
To purchase ideas via the player's market you should go to the industry page of the ideas you wish to purchase and click Bid in the Player Market cell of the Idea Commodities Table. You will then be presented with a table in which you input the number of ideas you want to buy along with the price per idea that you are willing to pay. After a confirmation box you will have posted a bid and the money to pay for it will have been removed from your cash balance and placed into escrow.
If someone has offered ideas at or below the price you bid you will buy them at the price you bid, NOT the price requested. If you bid B$1,000,000 for an idea and someone posts the idea for $1 - you buy at $1,000,000!
