The allocation of two voting userIDs to a single individual is plainly in violation of "207. Each player always has exactly one vote."
I ask that AAA and ABA's votes therefore each be split in half to allow for consistency with 207.

I would further comment -- and please consider this a separate invocation of judgment from the first -- that the last sentence of Judgment 309
No additional players may join unless they can prove that they are a MeFi member, or can convince a majority of current players that they are a person not already playing under a different MeFiNo user ID.
smuggles in an undefined category of "prove" in the first clause. What does it mean to "prove" that one is a MeFi member? Prove to whom, and how? I would submit that the only relevant criterion for proof is exactly the one provided in the second clause of the judgment, the convincing of a majority of current players.
I call super-deluxe bullshit on gerryblog, and suggest the only remedy against this is purging gerryblog from the roles for his naughty obstructionist tactics.
I have gone to great lengths to make it clear that I have not endorsed, authorized, approved, or participated in the tragic ABA fiasco, that whoever he is he is not me, and that whoever I am I am not him.
I invoke: should gerryblog and Chuck each be given one half a vote, as they are clearly sock puppets of one another and aside from that have been known to engage in unwholesome and unamerican activities?
I invoke: should gerryblog be given a massive wedgie, ostracised, and then pelted with rocks and garbage for attempting to drag my sterling reputation into the gutter?
I am shocked. I hope all my new colleagues will forgive me for the kerfuffle I have caused by joining this game.
I just don't know how to make this any clearer. I am not Aaron's sock puppet. I am not even Jewish.
Do I think Aaron is cool? Yes. Do I look up to him as a model of exemplary nomic play? Yes. Do I intend to emulate him? Yes. Is he my puppetmaster? NO WAI!!! If I were anyone's sockpuppet, I think it is pretty obvious by now that I would be gerryblog's sock. If it is determined that I cannot have a full vote for whatever reason, I would much prefer to split my vote with gerryblog.
I'm hijacking all of these invocations into one, which I'm titling "Joining the Game"
It's going to be long. I'll post it sometime today.
In the meantime, I order the game may continue with turn 309 up to but not including closing the vote on the proposal.
I also order playership frozen to the state of the last non-disputed state, that is, the list of 15 players that existed at the end of turn 308:
1
AAA Aaron A. Aaronson
backseatpilot
Chuck
ctmf
flatluigi
gerryblog
jay
jeblis
mosessis
shelleycat
ssg
tallus
vernondalhart
volkspider
I engage in unamerican activities every single day. It feels great.
Otherwise it seems like going with the previous list of fifteen players for at least the next turn is the most straightforward and least annoying option.
least annoying option
shelleycat, my dear sister, I cannot help but notice the prevalence of negativity when you describe your emotional state in relation to this game. Annoying options. Frustrating procedures. Irritating play styles.
You aren't really here for the hunting, are you? ;)
If it would enhance your positive play experience, I am willing to do anything within reason and legal / ethical bounds to make things more groovy for you. Just because I care that much.
Boy, I don't log in for a weekend and the whole place goes to hell.
