Temporary hiatus

I love this game, but I have a five-day job starting tomorrow that will eat up most of my time (12 hr. shifts and 2 hrs. of commuting per day), so I probably won't be participating much until Tuesday.

I'm not sure if this will work since the rules don't cover it, but I want to set some automatic votes for while I'm away. Hopefully this will minimize the inconvenience of my absence for the rest of you and (maybe) avoid having me moved to the Not Players list.

Effective immediately and ending Tuesday April 22nd at 18:00 PDT (or earlier if I declare it), I'd like to be recognized as voting thusly on any vote that I haven't already participated in:

YES on any and all votes to overrule a judge (clarification: I am always in favor of overruling).
I CONSENT to any and all polls to move on to the next turn (or a next turn).
YES on any and all votes to adopt a rule-change.

If it becomes necessary, I give permission for an admin to log in as me for the express purpose of voting.

I'll try to get back here when I can, but it's not likely till Tuesday.

If anyone else wants to use this thread to announce a temporary absence, feel free.

I have to go away for a few days. I'll be in the mountains away from computers.

I just voted on 308, and you can consider that I have voted yes to moving on if judgment is invoked.

I will be sporadically online while in transit for the next few days.

It seems we have accepted proxy votes in the past, so if I am not here:

  • I vote "NO" on any proposal unless I have actively done otherwise;
  • I vote "NO" on overturning any judge ruling, unless that ruling would end the game;
  • I agressively and shrilly don't vote on any formal proposals to move on, and always give my informal consent to move along.

I'll be traveling all day today and I don't know when I'll get to a computer tomorrow. I do fully intend on voting on the next proposal when it's posted though, and I will do so within the next 48 hours (assuming something is posted during that time).

I also leave both explicit and implicit consent to move on from whatever judgements there are within that time plus a sense of relief that I can ignore the sockpuppet mess for a couple of days. I have never used a sockpuppet account here or at metafilter and I hope you guys sort out some kind of solution while I'm traveling.
