Kind of a nitpick, but could we move the Recent Rule Proposals box above recent comments, so that it stands out better?
Done
A generic forum link would be nice

Is there any way to hae a history of edits function? Maybe the rules need to be restricted edit or on a Wiki.
I turned on revision viewing but I don't see a new button anywhere. I can limit rule editing to the Judge if one emerges, or act as Facilitator in the meantime.
Ok well until we get a history method. Either turn off editing or we should use the wiki as the official rule source.
Do we have a location for invoking judgments? What's the preferred procedure for that?
I'd like to be emailed each time there is a new rule proposal, ie someone moves.
A way to highlight proposals would be good, so that we can track re-proposals that occur in the comments. Alternatively, if we could edit the orignal proposal, that would work too.
I'd also like to be able to use the blockquote tag.
If you need any help coding this stuff, let me know. I'm a PHP programmer.
I turned off editing the original proposal on purpose, so it couldn't be changed after voting had begun.
We've already had some confusion regarding which proposal was being voted on, though, so I think some kind of clarification is in order.
I just made Full HTML the default input filter. Do you know Drupal?
Done.
I just edited the MeFiNo rules to add myself to the player list. I noted this in the log, but apparently my note was lost when I clicked Preview and then Save'd from the Preview screen. Can you make it so that doesn't happen? (Not a big deal, just makes things less complicated.)
Not specifically, no.
Woops, strike that -- I just realized there's a NEW log box at the end of the Preview screen (still irritating that the text is lost on Preview, but I guess I can learn to remember to enter it on the second page instead).
RSS is at the top of my list
Pony request - I see we can see history. Is there a way to compare versions a la wiki?
I'd like an RSS feed of official rule proposals. Then I can sign up at work and think about the new rule being proposed even when I can't access any of the websites. Don't really want to be flooded with all the discussion and voting comments though, I can only waste so much time during the day.
Is there a way to have a page with all the recent comments? If I take too long between log ins, the list in the sidebar doesn't cover all the recent comments. Can we have a page that shows fifty or so?
I added a Comment Tracker and Recent Posts to the sidebar
Very cool! Thank you.
The only additional thing I would ask is to have a link to either the comment or the thread in the Comment Tracker. I think I'm going to be using that view a lot, and it would be nice to be able to jump from the comment in that view to seeing it in it's proper forum post.
Done-ish.
I really like the state of play area on the front page. Was much easier to figure out what's going on when opening this up today than it was yesterday.
Recent comments:
Can we have a link in the Recent Comments box to a page that lists say all the recent comments in the last 24 hours?
People from the US west coast are getting in from work when or after I go to bed, so it can be difficult to track things if there are a lot of comments in the intervening hours.
On this subject I made a clock that shows the relevant time zones of all the locations of players I know about (+continental Europe). timezone clock. It might be worth linking to somewhere as its going to be useful to be aware of how we are all situated in time relative to each other.
And I am in Central Asia.

So I just found the page, confusingly named comment tracker. Still a link might still be good.
Put "Player List" on the left nav. Combine "User List" and "Player List" pages.
Yo, cool tallus.
Timezones make my head asplode so am loving the timeanddate personal clock page, thanks tallus.
The comment tracker is somewhat useful but it doesn't give enough context, I would rather see them threaded by which forum they're in than strict chronological order. The 'new' comments thing on the forum list is probably more useful although it's also flawed (no links to the actual new comments, doesn't always show comments as being new when it should). If nothing else I need to remind myself to get updated before I start spouting off.
[derail] A Google Earth overlay that had the current time in each timezone would rule. I already use Earth for almost every lookup I would have previously done in a phone book or map.
Two small ponies:
One, if there were some easy way to link a rule proposal and the discussion thread -- both at the top and bottom of their respective pages -- that would save a lot of scrolling.
Two, the voting page could have a count of the number of players that have yet to vote and also (if applicable) a countdown to the deadline for submitting a vote.
Hey, I have an idea for Judgment Invocation pages. Could they be made to automatically include forms for voting to move on and overruling? So one might look like:
This would make the threads easier to read.
Pony #2: I see I'm still able to cancel and change my vote on 303. Is there a way for admins to disable those controls once we've officially moved on to a new vote? Also, it'd be nice if the vote list came with timestamps for each vote and a change history, but I understand that might be asking a lot since it could require complicated changes to the module itself (?).
I like the new Game Status block at the top left. Very cool.
It would be useful for a proposer to be able to close a vote so that no additional votes could be added or changed once the vote is closed. That and/or timestamps on votes, so we can verify what votes were cast within a given time period.
Is internal game mail/messaging/chat a possibility? There are a few players I've tried via MeFiMail, and I would love to know whether they are just not noticing, or purposefully ignoring. (gerryblog, check your MeFiMail!!)
I don't see a private messaging module for this bleeding edge version of Drupal I dumbly installed.
Could we get public revision history on proposal discussions?
I can't find the forum where the judgment invocations are getting deposited. Am I missing something obvious? If not, could we add that forum to the forum list (i.e. the blogshares.com/mefino/forum page)?
