Nomic is a game played by taking turns changing the rules, thus the very definition of winning is a moving target. It's just the sort of plate of beans MeFites are prone to overthink. Several of us have played various flavors of Nomic game and started a few of our own as well. Cortex posted a page in the blue in 2007.
So on March 23, 2008, Taksi Putra proposed a MetaFilter Nomic and an initial ruleset, jayCampbell tossed up a Drupal, and MeFiNo was launched.
