Everyone had to put in an email address when they signed up. I almost missed that the game had started because I had a busy day or two. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Maybe we should slow down a bit, make sure everyone is still around/ready to play before we jump in with both feet and go?
I think we pretty much have to slow down at this point. If we're missing someone's vote, we have no provisions for skipping them or dropping them as a player. So really, you could take as long as you want to vote, at least until someone passes a time limit rule.
That's the problem. If someone signed up cause "hey this sounds cool" and never comes back because, let's face it, the internet is for flakes, we are all out of luck. The rules have no way to auto forfeit them and the game can't continue.
I may be missing something obvious, but why couldn't a judge kick out the deadbeats?
I suggest that if these various problems cause this game to crash, there is an easy easy solution. The group of people that are here and active obviously want to play, and we are only getting started, there is nothing stopping us from restarting, with a membership of the active people here.
I TRIED to edit the rules before the official start of play, to get things at least slightly appropriate to online, but those changes were reverted. I think starting with this non-online ruleset was a mistake.
